The recurring conflicts, attacks on communities and violence have cost significant loss of life, property, and displaced communities. The Bureau Chief and Correspondent of the Daily Sun Newspaper in Plateau State, Mr. Gyang Musa Bere, has been appointed the Director of Press and Public Affairs (DOPA) to the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang. In a press statement, the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Arc.Samuel N. Jatau, MNIA, asserted that the appointment is with immediate effect. You may recall that prior to his appointment, Bere served as the Executive Governor’s Special Assistant for Media and Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel for the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Plateau State Council.

Provost, FCMLST Dr. Etukudoh, 5 others arraign in Court on 16 Count Charge

The Provost, Federal School of Medical Laboratory science Technology Jos, Dr. Nkeruewem Sunday Etukudoh and four others have been arraigned before Justice S. P Gang of High Court 3 Jos on 16 Count Charge bordering on Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud related matters. The matter which came up on Tuesday 25th April, 2023 commenced Denovo following the retirement of Hon. Justice Christene Dabup last year who was handling the case. As a matter of fact, Hon. Justice Gang is the 4th Judge handling the matter since the accused persons were first arraigned in 2016 before Justice Yakubu Dakwak. After the retirement of Justice Dakwak, the file was reassigned to Justice Danjuma Longji who after his retirement in 2019, the case file was reassigned to Justice Christene Dabup before her retirement last year.
