DATI'S ABSURD VITUPERATION AGAINST RT. HON. DOGARA.

Image
By Shabul Mazadu. It was laughable reading a piece from Hon. Yakubu Dati, Plateau State Commissioner of Lands and Survey as well as the Chief of Staff to the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Director General, Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong, bashing former Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara over his castigation of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muslim - Muslim Presidential ticket.  The piece was more of the popular adage "black kettle calling black pot black." In the piece titled; "Muslim-Muslim ticket: Deconstructing Dogara" Dati attacked Dogara saying he was only attempting to fan the embers of religious crisis which he failed, and that he was self centered and selfish.  First and foremost, let me remind Dati that Dogara was not the only one that described the Muslim+Muslim Presidential ticket of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as unethical.  The member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Gagdi made the asserti

Image
By Jerry Jatdul Former President Goodluck Jonathan has advised Nigerians to avoid voting for people he termed as “killers” into public offices. Jonathan gave the advise while speaking at the special interdenominational service to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the creation of Akwa Ibom State, on Sunday. “In 2023, you must not make the mistake to vote killers. Those who will carry knives, guns, and all kinds of gadgets to go and kill people because of politics, are the enemies of society. If you kill to become a leader, you will continue to kill to remain a leader. “The people will continue to suffer. Make sure that from the House of Assembly to the House of Representatives to Senate to governor, you vote the right people in Akwa Ibom State.” The former Bayelsa State governor further commended Governor Udom Emmanuel over his developmental strides across the state.

THE BEROM HAVE ALWAYS VOTED EN BLOC: WE MOVE AN ADDRESS BY EDWARD G PWAJOK, SAN TO BECO ON 21/09/2022

Image
I am honoured and deeply appreciate the privilege to address you.  This is the culmination of my political consultations with groups and individuals. As a former official of BECO, I am proud to be associated with you and commend you for keeping the flag flying. Some may wonder why I should bother to consult on decisions that are personal. While it certainly is true that each person has personal decisions to make concerning political choices, but the decisions we make have impact on others. This is especially so for myself who is privileged to be counted as one of the leaders in our land having held many leadership positions.  My ‘silence’ has been the subject of speculation. I decided that since I belong to a community, I should share my thoughts and concerns with the same community and hear from them. I have consulted widely, met with Elders, women, youths, students, people of all classes and vocations. The feedback I got was that we are at the crossroads and need to think outside the

Plateau 2023: Shabul Mazadu Appreciates Nentawe's E-boys for Boosting Dr. Dakum's Candidacy

Image
(Shabul Mazadu) It is worthy to appreciate the benevolence and kind gestures exhibited to us by others. Though I am supporting Dr. Patrick Dakum the Governorship candidate of the Labour Party, LP, I sincerely appreciate the excellent support given to my principal by Dr. Nentawe Yilwada's boys on social media who brought out his leadership qualities. They thought they are getting even with me, instead they are bringing out the leadership qualities of my candidate. Thank you so much guys. The boys, instead of tackling issues raised, they tried talking tough by casting aspersions which turned out to promote Dr. Dakum in disguise. For instance, one of them called me Femi Fani Kayode, FFK, fine. Obasanjo said whenever Kayode is well paid he does the biddings of the payer very well. This means that I was paid by Nentawe before being bought by Dr. Patrick Dakum with a higher price. This shows that Dr. Dakum rewards labour greatly. One of them said I am a hungry journalist seeking for f

2023: Ignore Being Dragged into Unnecessary Debate over Margif

Image
PRESS STATEMENT IGNORE BEING DRAGGED INTO UNNECESSARY DEBATE OVER MARGIF It has come to the notice of Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum's campaign team of the concerted efforts particularly by some forces in the All Progressives Congress, APC, Plateau State chapter, to cause confusion, discourage and drag our colossal followers and supporters into unnecessary debate over Mr. Yohana Margif's saga which is already in court, alleging that he is the authentic Plateau State Labour Party, LP, Governorship candidate for the 2023 general elections. We are calling on our countless supporters to ignore the judicial subjudice and give no slightest and faintest attention to the braying of our futile detractors, as there is no cause for alarm. Our detractors are already in disarray, and grossly scared out of their wits because of the great acceptability, remarkable pedigree and excellent leadership qualities of Dr. Patrick Dakum which are endearing the entire state to him. Their efforts are merely t

Image
By Ukandi Odey The Campaign Organization of Patrick Sunday Dakum, Gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party in Plateau State, has accused Governor Simon Lalong and the All Progressives Congress in the State of fomenting crises in the Labour Party as a strategy to undo the popularity and acceptability of its Gubernatorial candidate. In a press release issued in Jos, the organization noted that “the Labour Party in Plateau State has Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum as its only legitimate Gubernatorial candidate and nobody else”. The Campaign Organization said “this clarification has become necessary due to the All Progressives Congress induced crisis as it attempts to sponsor a false candidate on the Party’s platform to whittle down the rising profile of the Labour Party and its rightful candidate, Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum, in the State”. The Campaign group warns that “anyone parading himself as the Party’s candidate other than Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum, is not only an imposter, but a complete fra

PDP ELECTION RIGGING ALLEGATION IS BASELESS AND DANGEROUS.

Image
The attention of the APC in Plateau State  has been drawn to a baseless and wild  allegation against our great Party and its governorship candidate, Dr.Nentawe Yilwatda Goshewe by the long drowned Peoples Democratic party in Plateau state.  The allegations that our party in concert with a staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission in the state, Mahmoud Umar who heads the ICT directorate have perfected plans to rig the forthcoming elections in the state is not only laughable but totally bereft of substance. The ailing PDP is alleging that Mahmoud Umar who served in the same capacity under Dr Nentawe while he was INEC  Commissioner in Benue State has been redeployed to Plateau State ahead of next year's election to rig the election in favour of the APC.   We would have ignored the allegation as one of the daliy rantings and lamentation by the wailing PDP in the state but have to put the records straight because this is a dangerous insinuation which is capable of casting d

'No work, no Pay', Plateau Varsity Tells Striking Workers

Image
The Management of Plateau State University, Bokkos, has declared a `no-work, no-pay’ policy on its striking workers. This is contained in a memo signed by the Registrar of the university, Mr Yakubu Ayuba, in Jos on Friday. According to him, the decision of the management followed the directive by the Governing Council of the university at the end of its 50th meeting held on Sept. 7. The registrar said that the issues that led to the declaration of strike by both the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) of the university in Dec. 2021, had been resolved. He explained that government had signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with ASUU on Aug. 9, saying that the eight issues that led to the declaration of strike by SSANU had also been resolved. Ayuba noted that the ongoing strike by the ASUU of the institution was just in solidarity with its national body, hence unnecessary. ”In view of this, the state government and
