PSIRS Surpasses N34.4bn Target in 2025, Hits 52.4% of N42.4bn in 2026, Proposes N51bn for 2027.

The Plateau State Internal Revenue Service, PSIRS, has announced that it surpassed its N34.4 billion revenue target for 2025 and has so far collected 52.4 percent of its N42.4 billion target for the current fiscal year. The Service said it is optimistic that it will achieve or surpass the 2026 target before the end of the year, hence its N51 billion proposal for 2027. This was disclosed by the Director of Finance and Accounts of the Service, Mr. Thomas Bikut, who spoke to newsmen on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Mr. Jim Pam Wayas, shortly after defending the Service's 2027 budget projection before the Special Budget Committee set up by the Governor. Bikut said the administration of Governor Caleb Mutfwang is obviously and judiciously deploying tax revenue to fund people-oriented projects across the state, with road networks being the most visible infrastructure.
