THE GENERAL PUBLIC SHOULD DISREGARD MARGIF'S FALSE CLAIMS
The attention of Dr. Patrick Dakum's campaign organisation has been drawn to a Public Announcement attributed to Yohana Margif, resurging claims to Labour Party, LP, Governorship Candidacy which he resigned from on 2nd August, 2022.
The general public is hereby reminded that on August 2, 2022, Margif resigned from the LP Governorship candidacy authentically where the leadership of the party notified the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, along side 12 states with similar issue. INEC being satisfied with the observation of Electoral Law by the LP in regards to resignation of Governorship candidates went ahead to supervise the fresh Governorship primary of the LP in Plateau and other states on August 5, 2022.
In the same vein, based on allegation on financial scandal leading to the arrest of Margif in Abuja on Thursday 4th August, 2022, LP sacked him from the party, but he dragged it to court where the verdict to the case would be passed on 15th December, 2022 as stated by a High Court in Jos.
The LP and INEC recognize Dr. Patrick Dakum as its authentic Governorship candidate, that's why his Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi the Presidential Candidate, and his running mate, Dr. Ahmed Datti, came to Jos, the Plateau State capital on September 28, 2022 and unveiled Dakum as its authentic Governorship candidate, likewise INEC too by enlisting him as the genuine governorship candidate.
It is in the eyes of not only Plateau but the entire country and the world at large that the Presidential candidate of the LP and the national body of the party were received at the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Heipang, on September 28, 2022, by Dr. Dakum and crowd of supporters and went to Rwang Pam Stadium where a mammoth crowd of supporters were waiting for them.
The LP has already proven to the entire state that Dakum is its candidate by acknowledging publicly in the state, the country and the world. This status quo remains as no court voided it. Therefore, the public should disregard any confusion brewed by Margif and his sponsors.
NB: The letter making the rounds on social media that a High Court exonerates Margif over his resignation on 2nd August, 2022, as fabricated being done without the acknowledgement of an oath commissioner, should be disregarded as Courts don't issue judgments on letters, but in court rooms after giving fair hearing to both the accused and the complainant. The letter is not the High Court's verdict declaring Margif as the LP Governorship candidate. It shouldn't be taken as such.
Thank you!
Think Plateau, think Dr. Patrick Dakum!!
