Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong says the current challenges facing the nation will be overcome when Nigerians pray and also work with resolve to remove all obstacles to peaceful coexistence, under development and productivity. Governor Lalong was speaking during the monthly prayer and fasting session held at the Government House Chapel, Rayfield Jos. Lalong who acknowledged that Nigeria is facing challenges of insecurity, unemployment illiteracy among others, said there is no need to despair because tough times do not last forever. He said his experience as Governor of Plateau State in the past six years has proved that it is possible to turn around a bad situation to a better one when there is purposeful leadership that mobilises people across different divides. International Children Day:Scorer Foundation Offered Free Medical Services For Schools In Riyom LGA.

A Non Governmental Organization Scorer Foundation, on Thursday 27th May 2021, Celebrated their International Children's Day with a free medical services and free barbing of haircut to 12 Primary Schools in Rahoss Community, District of Riyom Local Government Area with a massive turnout of Traditional Rulers, parents, youth groups, teachers as well as Pupils of the various Schools to commemorate their day. Lalong says Constitution Amendment Alone Not Panacea To Peace

The Chairman Northern Governors Forum, Governor Simon Bako Lalong has declared that it is not how many times Nigeria amend its constitution that will guarantee its unity, development, peace, and good governance,  rather, it is how committed Nigerians  faithfully followed the constitution and obeyed its provisions that will make the difference.  Governor Lalong who  made the declaration on Wednesday in Jos, Plateau State at the North Central public hearing on the Review of the 1999 Constitution said every Nigerians ought to be the guardians and defenders of the constitution " As citizens, we are the guardians and defenders of the constitution who can either make it work or fail by our actions or inactions. No one should be allowed to be above the constitution and at the same time, no one should be put beneath it by those in power or anyone saddled with the privilege of implementing any part of it. GIZO Leads PPA To Comiserate With Accountant General Over Demised Of Younger Brother.

Chief Amos Y.Gizo, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Plateau Publishers Association as well as the Chairman of the PPA led the BOT,Executive Council and the entire 24-member body on a condolence visit to the Plateau State Accountant General, Dr Cyril Tsenyil, over the death of his younger brother Mr John Tsenyil on Sunday, 23rd May, 2021 in a motor accident along Panyam-Shendam road. In his remarks, Chief Gizo said the PPA was deeply saddened by the demise of John Tsenyil at his prime and pray that the Lord Almighty rest his soul and comfort his wife, two children, the Accountant General and the entire family over the irreparable loss. Gizo urged the family to take solace in the fact that as members of the faith, he is resting in the bosom of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth and be comforted. Governor Simon Bako Lalong has expressed the deep condolences of the people and Government of Plateau State to the NASCO family over the passing of the founder of the Nasco Group of Companies, Ahmed Idris Nasreddin who died at the age of 97. Governor Lalong in a message of commiseration described the passing of the patriarch of the NASCO family as a great loss not only to the family, but to people of Plateau State and Nigeria as a whole.                      Protesters There was palpable tension at Abattoir Area Giring Ward Jos South LGA, Plateau State, as Residents of the Area came out in their numbers to protest against the nefarious activities of a Lebanese who they accused of engaging minors in sexual activities such as having sexual knowledge of them and making pornographic videos with his victims. His victims according to Residents are Teenage Girls of less than 15 years two of which he has put in the family way. Some Residents said they reported the nefarious activities of the Lebanese at the Abattoir Police Station but he was released without any stiff penalty only for him to return to same obnoxious activities. I received with immense shock the news of the passing of a brother and a most patriotic Nigerian Lt. General Joshua Nimyet Dogonyaro at the age of 80. I especially commiserate with his family at the loss of such a loving and devoted father to family and nation. 2. The late General was a very outstanding military officer whose dedication to the oath he swore to for the defence of Nigeria was uppermost in all his activities. 3.
