International Children Day:Scorer Foundation Offered Free Medical Services For Schools In Riyom LGA.




A Non Governmental Organization Scorer Foundation, on Thursday 27th May 2021, Celebrated their International Children's Day with a free medical services and free barbing of haircut to 12 Primary Schools in Rahoss Community, District of Riyom Local Government Area with a massive turnout of Traditional Rulers, parents, youth groups, teachers as well as Pupils of the various Schools to commemorate their day.


The event took place at Pilot Primary School Rahoss, District of Riyom LGA.




The Founder of the Non Governmental Organization (NGO), Mrs. Blessing Nyango said “Scorer Foundation is a STA HEALTH community outreach for community response. It is an NGO that started last year, which we've been reaching out to people from the community level that's for the grassroot level. So far last year, we had the same program but it was within Two Communities and for this one, we decided to elaborate it to expand the program to cover up a large number of the community. 27th May of every year is a day set aside to celebrate children, to remember that children are the future of tomorrow and we still see hope in them and these Children are special gift to us and we must do everything humanly possible to nurture them to be good citizens that can contribute their quota to the development of the State and Nigeria as a whole”. She said




Asked if the NGO is enjoying the support of government and other spirited individuals,
Mrs. Nyango said “I don't get support from the government. But there are some spirited individuals who saw the advert of the programme, they called me on phone on how can I assist you because you've been trying. I told them if you want to assist, fine is a widow might and it is a continuous program”. She added.






The traditional ruler of Rahoss Community, Gyang Tinjah Zam appreciated Mrs. Nyango for always being there for the children of Rahoss Community and pray that God will continue to shower more blessings on her to do more for her Community.




While at the celebration of the children's day, the Hon. Councilor Special Duties, Hon. Pam Nyango used the occasion to celebrate his birthday with the windows of the community by sharing in foodstuffs and other valuables to the people of his Constituency.






On his part, Mr. Avong Gadi, the Head Teacher of Riyom Model Nursery/Primary School Rahoss and host on behalf of the Schools, thanked Mrs. Nyango and pray God will reward her in tenfold.




The beneficiaring Schools include, LEA PRIM. SCHOOL BUM, EKAN GANAWURI, BACHIT PILOT PRIM. SCHOOL, LEA TOM–GANAGARE, MODEL PRIM. SCHOOL RAHOSS, LEA MERE, EKAN TAHOSS, LEA TYANA, LEA SAMBAK, LEA DANCHWEL, GSS RAHOSS and LEA GWOL–HOSS respectively.
