Duncan Group Hands Over Jos Inland Port to PLSG at N2.2bn

The Plateau State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Duncan Maritime Ventures Nigeria Limited, signifying the official take over of the Jos Inland Container Deport (ICD) from Duncan Maritime Ventures Nigeria Limited to the Plateau State Government. Following the signing of this MoU, the Plateau State Government is expected to pay the sum of N2.2billion to Duncan Maritime Ventures Nigeria Limited as consideration in other to take ownership of ICD which is situated at Heipang, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area. Court Nullifies Emergence of Barr Zulfa Rimven As APC Candidate, Orders For Withdrawal of Certificate of A State High Court sitting in Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State, Monday, nullified the emergence of Barr. Rimven  Bitrus Zulfa as the chairmanship candidate of Langtang North Local Government Area due to non-compliance with the guidlines of the All Progressive Congress (APC). Hon. Nankar Shagaya filed a suit challenging the election of Hon Zulfa Rimven in court, seeking the court to nullify the primary election which he claimed did not follow due process as stipulated in the APC Constitution. In a judgement delivered today, the judge declared that the emergence of Barr. Bitrus Zulfa Rimven as the APC candidate for Langtang North Local Government in the October 09, 2021, Local Government Elections in the state is nullified. PLASU Lecturers To Embark On Indefinite Strike Over Earned Allowances, Others

  The Plateau State University chapter of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), is set to embark on an indefinite strike over non-payment of earned allowance and other entitlements. The union also said that the strike would commence as soon as they receive approval from the national secretariat. Chairman of SSANU in PLASU, Comrade Timnan Rimdap, said the decision to proceed on strike was taken by SSANU Congress following the expiration of the seven-day ultimatum given to management to act. Rimdap added that the resolution has since been conveyed to the National Secretariat of SSANU for further necessary action. He said that prior to the seven-day ultimatum, which expired on December 8, SSANU had in a letter dated July 2, 2021, issued a 21-day ultimatum which expired on July 23, 2021. “SSANU in another letter dated August 3, 2021, issued a four-week ultimatum which expired on September 3, 2021,” he said. The North Central Zone of the Tax Appeal Tribunal said it has made a remarkable progress in the adjudication of tax related disputes, even as it reveals that it has handled and dispensed 10 cases with a total tax value of about N456,659,529 Four Hundred And Fifty Six Million, Six Hundred And Fifty Nine Thousand Five Hundred And Twenty Nine Naira Presently.             Late Mrs. Ogbonnia  We remember today as always, the painful exit of our wife, sister and niece, Late Mrs. Florence Ogbonnia which occurred on the 16th May, 2019 at Amoria Ozizza in Afikpo North local government area of Ebonyi State after a prolonged illness. Aged, 58 years, late Mrs. Florence Ogbonnia who was the Matron of Igbo Community. Women’s Wing, Amper branch in Kanke LGA of Plateau State was subsequently buried on the 30th October, 2019 at her home town, Amoria and she is survived by her husband, Engr. Clement Ogbonnia, (Father Father), the Patron, Igbo Community, Kanke LGA, six sisters and two brothers.
