Plateau South Bye-election: Hon. Komsol looks forward to working with Prof Daduut at the National Assembly, tasks Residents on Peace




The member Representing Mikang, Shendam and Qua'an Pan in the House of Representatives, Hon. Komsol Alphonsus Longap casted his vote in the Plateau South Senatorial District  bye election taking which took place yesterday in the six Local Government Areas that make up the Southern zone.


 The senatorial seat became vacant as a result of the death of the lawmaker representing the the zone, Late Senator Ignatius Longjan some months ago.


Shortly after casting his vote at the polling unit in his hometown of Kwafua, Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State,  the lawmaker charged the residents to conduct themselves peacefully through out the election.


Speaking to newsmen on the general outlook of the election, Komsol expressed delight that the exercise was currently taking place smoothly adding that voting commenced in good time. 


According to him, he is confident that the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) will emerge victorious and looks forward to a harmonious working relationship with the incoming senator at the National Assembly for the betterment of Plateau South and the State at large.


Komsol particularly hinted that he wants Prof. Nora Daduut to win so that she can pickup the issue of the Federal Polytechnic he proposed to the senate.
