Breaking: Another fuel hike looms as NNPC GMD hints on increase

Nigerian may have to pay more per litre of fuel after the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petrol Corporation (NNPC), Engr. Mele Kyari hinted that the federal government may be forced to increase the price of petrol.

Kyari who was at the statehouse during a press briefing on Thursday, said “it no longer makes sense for NNPC to import petrol at market price and sell at N162 per litre”. 

 
He further said that the actual market price should be between N211 and N234 per litre.

“As we speak today, the difference is being carried in the books of NNPC and I can confirm to you that NNPC may no longer be in a position to carry that burden,” he said.

Dr Dakum's Family Launches Foundation to Honor Late Son's Legacy

The Dakum family has launched the Daniel Dakum Foundation in Jos, Plateau State capital, to support widows, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable individuals.  The foundation is established in memory of their late son, Daniel Dakum, who passed away in April 2005.
