DOSA Convention: Members Of The Association Satisfied With Yibaikwal/Nimzing's Leadership Style





...Passes Vote of confidence on Dr. Nimzing led EXCO

Dengi Old Students Association (DOSA), has passed a vote of confidence in the Professor Abdullahi Shehu Yibaikwal and Dr. Nimzing Nanchak's led administration and unanimously endorsed them to pilot the affairs of the association for the next two  years.

The declaration was made at the DOSA 2021 Annual Convention recently held at the Crest Hotel  in Jos, Plateau State Capital  where members trooped in from all over the country and abroad to grace the occasion amidst pomp and pageantry.

Although the President, Prof Shehu Abdullahi Yibaikwal, who is currently serving as Nigeria's ambassador to Russia was not present at the event, but he sent his strong endorsement of the Vice President Dr Nanchak Nimzing, describing him as being very capable since he was able to keep the Executive Committee of the Association united and strong for performance.

Responding shortly after the endorsement, the Acting President, Dr Nanchak Nimzing, (Turakin Gani) thanked members for the confidence reposed on them and promised to come up with more new ideas that would move the association forward.

He said, the display of affection, support and trust given to them over the last two years was an indication of how focused the association was and it would be the beginning of new things to take place in the school.

While delivering his keynote address with the topic; "Arresting Moral Decadence in Nigeria -The Role of Secondary School Education", the Acting President said it imperative to lay a solid foundation and give back to the school by moulding future leaders who take from this generation.

In the mean time, the Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, who was represented by Dogarin Kanam of Bashar district, commended DOSA members for the commitment development of their Alma Mata.

Goodwill messages came from Hon. Justice Sale Musa Shuaibu, of the Federal High Court Benin City, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, Member, representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency, former Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, Hon Ibrahim Saleh and other distinguished personalities who graced the event.

For the progress of the DOSA, Rt. Hon. Idris Ahmed Maje, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives donated N5million while Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi donated N2million to the Association amongst others
