Breaking: President Buhari Receives Federal University Of Education Pankshin Establishment Act For Assent




The Federal University of Education Pankshin establishment Act, recently passed by the National Assembly has reached the final stage of fruitation, with the transmission of the Act to Mr President by Clerk of the National Assembly for presidential assent.

In a letter emanating from the Clerk of the National Assembly to Mr President, dated 30th December, 2021 exclusively obtained by Gagdi Media Team, which receipt was acknowledged by Office of the Chief of Staff to the President, the Clerk said the letter was in consonancce with provisions of the Acts Authentication Act Cap A2, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 seeking the President's consent and assent.

Going by constitutional requirements, President Buhari has 30 days within which to assent to the Bill or decline same. This, therefore, implies that the Federal University of Education, Pankshin is less than 30 days to come to fruition, all things being equal.

The sponsor of the Bill and Member representing PKK, Rt Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, has assured that he is pressing the right buttons to ensure that the Bill receives presidential nod within the stipulated time.

Governor Lalong, who was intimated of the development by Rt Hon. Gagdi, promised to add his weight in seeking Mr President's consent and assent to the Bill, considering its strategic importance to the people of Plateau state and Nigerians at large.

The governor lauded the the lawmaker for his proactive legislative activism, and assured that he would always identify with the giant strides of Rt Hon. Gagdi in attracting federal presence to his Constituency.
