Breaking: Shendam Council Boss, Alex Naantuam Emerged Victorious As ALGON Chairman Plateau State Chapter





The Executive Chairman of Shendam Local Government Council, Hon Miskoom Alex Naantuam has emerged victorious as the Chairman of the just concluded Association of Local Government Of Nigeria (ALGON) Plateau State Chapter election. 

While his counterpart, the Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Shehu Bala Usman has also on Wednesday emerged as the Deputy Chairman Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Plateau chapter respectively.

PLSG Clarifies Temporary Suspension of Artisan Mining in the State

According to Mrs. Joyce Ramnap, the state Commissioner for Information and Communication, said government has only temporarily suspended artisan mining activities to address pressing security and human rights concerns. The suspension, which was implemented through Executive Order (001), aims to regulate artisan mining activities and ensure the safety and well-being of miners. The government cited several reasons for the temporary suspension, including insecurity challenges, child molestation, and the proliferation of mining activities that have led to deaths in mining ponds.
