2023 Guber Poll: Security is My Top Priority - Sashe-et

Dr Sipak Sashe-et, a top contender for the gubernatorial election come 2023 in plateau state, has promised to made the issues of insecurities currently bedeviling the state a top most priority if voted at the exalted number one seat of the state.

He assured the people of the state to expect nothing less than leadership that is vibrant, different from the old ways of governance, that is out to change the narrative and will be completely different from the old ways of doing things.

The gubernatorial hopeful, who is contesting under the platform of the ruling
All Progressives Congress (APC), disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Jos, plateau state capital.

He reiterated that the system of governance under his watch will be done differently and handle with different approach in solving plateau problems.

On the insinuation that the governor is having preferred candidate for 2023 governorship race in the state, he said: "That the Governor is having anointed or preferred candidate, is immaterial and that won't deter my candidacy".

Sipak advice the electorates to shun politicians with what he described as "deep pockets" by trading their votes to the highest bidder adding;
"If they (electorates) derailed and opted for those with deepest pockets, then God will do his own, because it has happened before on the plateau". He said.

Stressing further, he opined: "I think the people of plateau state is evolved politically to the level that the issue of party is not something that should bother the electorates."It will be politically unwise to vote for incompetent candidate because he come from a particular or a preferred party and leave a competent and credible person largely due to his emergence in unpopular political party".

He called on people of plateau state to pray ahead of the 2023 General elections for God to choose a credible leader for the state, and warned that if they choose to be stubborn and want to do it on their own way based on party and sentiment, the narrative will not change, but continue in the same vicious circle he maintained.
