CAN Chairmanship Election: Apostle Elam Tanko Chalaham Declares Ambition to Become Plateau State CAN Chairman

Jos - In a move that has been widely welcomed by Christians in Plateau State, Apostle Elam Tanko Chalaham, founder and General Overseer of Apostolic Harvest Restoration Ministry, has formally declared his intention to contest for the position of Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Plateau State chapter.

Apostle Elam, who was born on March 17, 1973, in Ampang West District of the Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State, boasts a wealth of experience in leadership, conflict management, and peace studies. He believes he is the ideal candidate to unite Christians in Plateau State and promote harmony among the various denominations.

Apostle Elam's educational background is equally impressive. He holds a diploma in Business Administration and Management from Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi. He also graduated from Lona Seminary with a degree in Conflict Management and Peace Studies, and obtained another degree in Religious Studies from the University of Jos. Additionally, he has a professional certificate in Church Growth and Evangelism from the International School of Evangelism.

Apostle Elam's exposure is vast and diverse. He has worked with various organizations, including the COCIN wing of missions, Emmanuel Prayer Ministries, Throne Room Ministries, and the Ministry of Morisorilo in Cameroon. He has also served as a coordinator for the Goodluck Foundation Project and as Director of Social for Goodluck Development Foundation.

Furthermore, Apostle Elam has had the privilege of working with prominent leaders, including Dame Didi Esther Walson-Jack,  Chief of Staff to the then  Bayelsa State Governor, Sen. Siriake Dickson, whom he served as a Chaplain to the Chief of Staff when he was in Bayelsa State. He has also worked, and has been involved in various political campaigns, including the campaign of Governor Mutfwang.

Apostle Elam's international exposure is also noteworthy. He has traveled to several countries, including Cameroon, where he worked with the Ministry of Morisorilo. He has also attended various international conferences and seminars, where he has shared his expertise and learned from others.

According to him, Plateau State is in dire need of revival and harmony among Christians, stressing that his leadership will bring about a new beginning for the state. He promised to work tirelessly to promote unity, understanding, and peaceful coexistence among Christians and other stakeholders in the state.
