2023: Massive Loss In Plateau PDP as 1,502 Members Decamped to APC in Langtang North
Over 1,502 members Of the People's Democratic party PDP on Friday decamped to the All Progressive Congress APC PDP, in Pil Gani wards' of Langtang North LocalGovernment Area of Plateau state.
The PDP decampees were received by the Executive Chairman of the Langtang North Barrister Zulfa Rimven.
Speaking on their decision to dump the PDP to the APC, the leader of the decampees, Ringa Nanlok, said they were satisfied with the council chairman Hon Zulfa and the Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong.
Our correspondent reports that recently Barr Zulfa Bitrus Rimven had set up a committee to receive the decampees.
Speaking while receiving the decampees, Hon Zulfa who was accompanied by the Commissioner for housing Hon Brian Bintim Dadi and all the LGA APC aspirants for the forthcoming 2023 election, assured them of justice and fairness amongst members of the ruling party and called on others who are yet to join to do so.
The council boss who described the event as a 'harvest' of over 1,502 members, expressed delight that most of the returnees are former leaders, ward excos and members of the people democratic party ( PDP).
Zulfa, therefore, charged them to use there political weight to ensure victory for the party come 2023 and beyond.
He, however, appealed to both old and new members of the ruling party to work together in peace and be law abiding and emphasised on the supremacy of the party decisions.
Another decampee was the former deputy chairman of the ( PDP) Pil Gani ward Mr Vongdul assured party faithfuls that their return to APC was to consolidate on the achievement recorded by the incumbent chairman of the council.
He assured all members of their dedication and team spirit in the forthcoming 2023 elections.
