Breaking: 2023 Race to Little RayField, Gov. Lalong denies Endorsing any Aspirant

Plateau state Governor Simon Bako Lalong on Monday denied anointing or endorsing any aspirant for the position of Governor or any other political office in the forthcoming general elections.

The Governor told an APC stakeholders meeting in Jos, Monday 18th April 2022 that the process for emergence of candidates will involve wide consultations.

PLSG Clarifies Temporary Suspension of Artisan Mining in the State

According to Mrs. Joyce Ramnap, the state Commissioner for Information and Communication, said government has only temporarily suspended artisan mining activities to address pressing security and human rights concerns. The suspension, which was implemented through Executive Order (001), aims to regulate artisan mining activities and ensure the safety and well-being of miners. The government cited several reasons for the temporary suspension, including insecurity challenges, child molestation, and the proliferation of mining activities that have led to deaths in mining ponds. Mrs. Ramnap emphasized that mining activities are not inherently bad and can serve as a source of revenue for the state.
