DARIYE'S CONFIDANT & FAMILY REFUTES TORI.NG REPORT ON PURPORTED UNFAIR CONVICTION,DEMANDS RETRACTION





A close confidant and the family members of Sen. Joshua Chibi Dariye,the former Executive Governor of Plateau State have disclaimed,refuted and distanced themselves from the report by Tori.ng news which insinuated that Dariye said " I was unfairly convicted -Ex - Plateau Gov. Dariye Reacts to Presidential Pardon".

In the disclaimer,a close confidant and family members wrote , " We write to request that you publish a retraction of this report as it is fake news . Senator Dariye has no media aide by name  Christopher John,as reported by your online medium. 

More still,Dariye has not granted any interview to anyone and is not in a position to do so at the time of the purported report and even now. You are kindly requested to retract this immediately,else we take necessary action. Thank you."

 Tori.ng powered by Thandiubani on Friday 15th April , 2022 wrote that  "Senator Dariye said he was unfairly convicted and his pardon was a form of vindication".

 The report continues "The statement comes after he was pardoned by the Council of State. Speaking through his spokesman,Christopher, On Thursday 14th April, 2022".

It was the offensive statement above that the confidant and family members of Senator J.C Dariye want Tori.ng to retract immediately because Dariye never granted any interview,nor was he in the capacity to do that at the time the acclaimed report was given and even now.

The confidant and family felt the report might have been sponsored by persons who do not want Dariye to be pardoned for reasons best known to them and if possible knock Dariye's head with the President and those in authority which will never happen. 

 It is however,not the case with majority of the people of Plateau State and infact other parts of the country, who received the news of the presidential pardon and clemancy with great joy and dancing all over the place. Comments on Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and others indicate majority comments are in favour of the release of Dariye and former Governor Jolly Nyame.Celebrations were the order of the day since the news broke out.
