Breaking: G-18 Set to adopt Consensus Candidate to Challenge Gov Lalong's Anointed Candidate




The G-18 Gubernatorial Aspirants under the rulling All Progressive Congress APC is set to present a consensus Aspirant to Compete with the Preferred Candidate of the Governor

Investigation by this medium reveals that for close to four days now Consultative meeting have been in going at various veunes to get a reliable and strong willed Aspirant to challenge the alleged Governor Lalong's anointed  candidate, Nentawe Yilwatda. 

It would be recalled that 18 aspirants of the party had last week held a press conference read by its chairman Amos Gizo along side other Aspirants raised alarm of plight to impose a particular candidate by the state governor Simon lalong,his wife Regina lalong ,brother Fred APC National deputy secretary Festus Fantuer, Accountant General Cyril among others as those trying to impose former resident electoral commissioner Nentawa Yalwada as his preferred Candidate and also plans to temper with the state delegates list

The party secteriate through its publicity secretary Slyvnaus Nenmang debunked such allegations saying the party remains neutral in the build up to the primaries

Nenmang Said the state governor has not anointed a candidate but rather has advised them to select among themselves the best candidate for the party to avoid crack within the party but expressed surprise at the actions of the aspirants

Plateau Elders forum by its acting chairman wuyep also collaborated the Position of the party saying the governor is neutral and would not in any way destroy the party through imposition as alleged by the aggreived aspirants

But a new colour was added into the issue as a Political group led by Barr Umar Shittien and Samalia Makama in a press Conference also said the actions of the governor through his body language proves that he has an anointed candidate saying if steps are not taken a repeat of 2014 actions of the former Governor Jonah Jang will happen as thier were part of the people who did plateau project that ushered in governor Simon lalong as governor in 2015 under All Progressive Congress APC

From available information the G-18 has perfected plans to adopt a consensus candidate to Slug it out with the governor’s preferred Candidate

With few days to the party primaries the center can no longer hold as the party All Progressive Congress is emashed in Crisis following the recent actions we will continue to unfold events leading to the party Gubernatorial primaries.
