CLARION CALL TO ALL ACCREDITED DELEGATES FOR THE FORTHCOMING PRIMARY ELECTIONS : THE IMPERATIVE TO VOTE FOR ONLY CREDIBLE ASPIRANTS.

We, of the Arewa Christians and Indigenous Pastors Association (ACIPA) and other concerned Nigerians are pleased to write to you this piece of advice in the light of our common stake and future in the Nigeria project as you step forward once again to represent and speak on behalf of us ALL.

We have your back and we are praying very fervently for you, our respected delegates. We urge you not to be swayed, misled or intimidated by your party officials or godfathers, no matter how influential, rich or how highly placed in our society. Nigeria is at the crossroads and only a firm commitment to her future as a nation would make any difference. 

The forthcoming primaries of all registered political parties in the country is very crucial and indeed a litmus test on our delegates from the Ward to the national level.

It is obvious that the Federal Government, Legislature and political elites have expressed their preference for the indirect (delegates) method of selection so that you, the delegates, may easily be bought over by corrupt, desperate, clueless and myopic politicians for their personal and selfish ambitions. 

 For this reason, it has become imperative that we make this important clarion call to all of you our delegates in ALL the political parties, and urge you to take advantage of the moment in order to write your names in gold by doing the needful - to select only those who see our nation Nigeria as more important than any single individual or group of persons. 

Do not forget that majority of politicians believe that their money and gifts can buy them your votes. In other words, each of you has a price tag! Better still, that our delegates are like chickens lacking in personal will and can easily be swayed like the chicken when it eyes the corn. 

Your position as a delegate is your power and ready tool to use in changing the face of democracy in Nigeria. Go only for the best, the credible and Godfearing aspirants to make them candidate(s). 

Remember, if you choose to compromise your stand for money or other pecuniary benefits and allow your conscience to be bought over, there will be dire consequences now and in the near future.

We are already in very fervent prayers calling for divine intervention in the entire process.

 We are working to ensure that the corrupt, those who have exploited the weak and the poor, and those whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent Nigerians are never given the chance to rule us again. We are therefore pleading with ALL of you delegates to support us and make this great expectation a reality. We believe that we can make Nigeria better and greater together. 

Please understand that, irrespective of your religious or tribal inclination, you may be invoking the wrath or curse of God and that of the people you are representing upon yourselves. That is if you choose to commercialize our common future.

Remember that you have a will and a choice to make; and that the decision you make remains solely yours but it is especially to salvage and to restore our failing democracy to align us towards credible, selfless and result-oriented leadership.

Think twice and seek the wisdom of God to guide you as you prepare to vote. You have our prayers and goodwill for wisdom to be decisive and bold without fear or favor as you choose the right candidate. 

Remember, the journey to our liberation, true democracy and development begins with you at the primary elections as delegates. 

If you chose the wrong candidate(s), your party may lose at the general election in 2023 apart from the fact that we may end up with a band of eminently corrupt and self-serving leaders.

Once more, remember, we have your back and we are praying for you and for this nation. Do not be afraid as you write your name and history in gold. 

Together we shall conquer.
