Plateau State Labour Party Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Patrick Dakum Bestowed Igbo Chieftaincy Title, “Eze Chukwuemeka Ndigbo”

The Plateau state Labour Party (LP) gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum was conferred the chieftaincy title “Eze Chuckwuemeka Ndigbo” on November 26, 2022, by the Plateau State chapter of the association at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos, during the commemoration of Ndigbo Day for the year 2022.

Ochie Ndi Igbo III of Jos, Chief Basil Ibebuike, presented Dakum with the chieftaincy title and congratulated him for being a deserving son of Plateau State and a very good friend of the Igbo community, stating he loves and cares for his people and the inhabitants of the state.

Dakum commended the whole Igbo community in the State for the enormous honor bestowed upon him in response to the Chieftaincy title. He stated: “For this honor, I am grateful to all Igbo in the Plateau. Politics are not the only reason for this affiliation with the Igbo community.”

Dakum pledged to support and be a part of the Igbo community. He remarked, “The Igbo community can count on me to remain a partner.” I’m going to be there no matter what. I’ll cry beside you when you cry. I’ll join you in your mirth whenever you laugh. “I will listen to what you want me to accomplish for you on the plateau, and since I possess a title in your palace, I will carry it out as you have instructed.”
He further lauded the Igbo, saying they are doing amazingly well in their efforts to promote peace in the state.
Dakum expressed optimism that by May 29, 2023, the Labour Party’s presidential candidates, Mr. Peter Obi and Baba Ahmed, will be sworn in as president and vice president, respectively, while on the Plateau, he and Hon. Edward Pwajok (SAN) will be sworn in as governor and deputy governor. Dakum also praised the Igbo community for its significant contribution to Plateau State’s economy.
