COHT Pankshin Is Witnessing Monumental Infractuructural Development and Academic Excellence Under Dr Fwangje

For anybody that last visited College of Health Technology Pankshin, probably three years ago, would today appreciate the monumental Infrastructural development and academic excellence the collage recorded in recent times under the able leadership of Dr. Isah Francis Fwangje as the Provost of the institution.

This development was made known in an interactive session between the Provost of the college, and members of Plateau Publishers Association PPA, on a courtesy call visit.

Introducing members of PPA while delivering his speech, vice chairman of the association, Mr John Daniel Bok, the Publisher of  National Horrizon, said PPA is at the collage to partner with the Institution while eulogizing the pragmatic achievements of the provost, said the association is pleased to familiarized with the collage for keeping abreast with the activities of the college.

Vice chairman of the association, commended Dr. Fwangje's leadership style at the college for acommodating media practitioners and for keeping the standard of the school high, urges him to turn around the fortune of the college for good.

Welcoming members of PPA at the institution with his management team, the Bursar, Mr John Galadima, Director of Establishment, Mr Monday Goshang, Dr. Fwangje said the collage is going to partner with PPA for a robust reportage and wider publicity.

Upon the assumption of office, Dr Fwangje took a tour of existing facilities in the collage and after critically analyzing the dire needs of the collage, vowed to make the college one of the best among its peers. He also assured the staff, parents, students and stakeholders in the education sector of his determination to bequeath an enduring legacy in the state college.

When asked about his achievements as the Provost of the collage, for the past three years in office, Dr. Fwangje mentioned the building of Main gates and fencing parameter of the collage, renovation of Provost and Bursary offices among numerous others.

In less than four years of his reign as the Provost of the collage, Fwangje has attracted numerous projects to the college which are evidently on ground for any doubting Thomas to see and believe.

Dr. Fwangje with the support of  governor Lalong, the Governing Council of the collage, headed by Hon. Nandang Bako, Management Staff and Students of the collage, has enable him to transform the institution.

This is evident in the multi-faceted developmental strides currently being witnessed in the collage, ranging from construction of fencing parameter, purchase of molding block machine, fixed and repaired the two main entrance gates of the college, provision of four public toilets for male and female two each, renovation of Provost and Bursary offices, establishes tailoring unit in the college, renovated examination halls with well equiped seats, renovated the girls hostels, offset 25 retirees pensions, installation of solar lamps, landscaping of Dariye's hall, provision of lab equipment at the demonstration clinic, provision of uniforms for the security guards of the collage and purchase of a fairly used computer bus to aid movement of staff and students of the institution in an official functions.

It would be recalled that the Provost of the Plateau State College of Health Technology, Pankshin, Dr Isah Francis Fwangje, the Chairman of the Governing Council, Hon Nandang Bako and the Management Staff have been commended by the Plateau State Government for initiating quality projects that would stand the test of time and promote the standard of education in the institution while commissioning of the projects by the then Commissioner of Higher Education, Dan Hirkop.

Dr Fwangje also enumerated the challenges of the institution to include poor funding, lack of man power both Academic and Non-Academic amongst others.

On the alleged two hundred and fifty million naira revenue generation by the collage, Dr. Fwangje said; “we only have one source mainly to generate funds in this collage which is the registration of students. The students paid their fees and the departmental and board registration, we arrived at not up to 200 million when they paid combined altogether”. He said.

The institution under Fwangje's watch, has won the 2022 Plateau state Board of Internal Revenue Service Award in revenue generation of above a hundred million naira revenue generated by the collage.

The Provost called on well wishers, and lovers of education to help the school with one or two projects to aid the students condition. He said the school is in dire need of hostels and administrative block among numerous other things.

Fwangje wondered why some disgruntle elements will decide to tarnish his image with fake news over the revenue generation of the collage in circulation to achieve their God knows aim.
