JMDB Works Within The Ambit of The Law And Notices Issued To Unapproved Developers

The General Manager of the Jos Metropolitan Development Board,TPL John Kefas Yilrwang has assured the people of Plateau State that the Board will work within the ambit of the law,laid down rules and regulations of the country to maintain a well planned city.
The GM of the JMDB made the clarification in his office in Jos on Tuesday 17th January, 2023 in a brief media chat with NewsGate Magazine, Newscrest Newspaper, Jat HotNews Newspaper, Frank News Magazine, Emerald Magazine and Trust News Online.

Yilrwang went on to inform the Publishers that the board has already issued notices to builders who have not gotten approval from JMDB before starting their building projects across the city.

The GM warned defaulters to desist from further developing unapproved structures and that very soon illegal structures in the city will be demolished.

TPL Yilrwang used the opportunity to condole with the family of the deceased immediate Chairman of the Plateau State Chapter of the Town Planners Association of Nigeria, TPL Morris Dabuahat,former National Financial of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, who lost his life on Sunday 15th January, 2023 after a brief illness.He said the built industry will greatly miss the active member.
