PKK 2023: Rt. Hon. Yusuf Gagdi Campaign Council Inaugurated



Member representing Pankshin, Kanke, Kanam in the Federal House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on Navy, Rt. Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, was on Monday January 23rd, 2023, inaugurated 1200 members of his Campaign Council, held at Dengi Mini stadium amidst pomp and pageantry.

The campaign council which was inaugurated, is to be headed by himself as chairman, Hon Philip Dasun as the Director General, while ND Shehu Kanam as Secretary General with so many members across PKK look set to return Rt. Hon. Yusuf Gagdi back into the National Assembly.


Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi has endeared himself to his constituents as the ‘People’s Representative’ with his grassroots drive, the inauguration of his campaign council is well attended by dignitaries from various walks of life.

Mal. Sani Garba said, "In the history of PKK, this is the first time we have a member that has so far executed more than Six Hundred (600) projects for his constituency".

"Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi has set out to not just be a politician but one entrenched in day-to-day grassroot initiatives of his constituency, he performs tremendously well, he has proved his capacity as a member representing PKK".

He said, "Almost every households of his constituency benefit from Rt. Hon. Gagdi, time wouldn't allow me to mention all his projects for you but when I said almost all, is very difficult to see a house in PKK without a student inside, he has paid the WAEC and NECO registrations and others examination fees of the students".

Having concentrated on education, Rt. Hon. Gagdi has cut across the water projects that all the polling unit in PKK are going to get a boreholes and some has gotten a boreholes readies, he constructed Five kilometres road in Kanam LGA, 12.5 kilometres road project is on going in Pankshin and he is going to commission that of Kanke local government.


 Hon. Gagdi said; "I am people representative, I believed with the people and i believe that this is the people driving campaign and also believe that, its the votes of people that brings me here, so, i can't as a serving member choosings people to lead my campaign, i thing the people of (PKK) have the capacity to take responsibilities of that large campaign council that can only be compare with the presidential campaign".

" I can't do without people, I love people, I respect people and I want people to always come close to me, if I have my way, I can expand my campaign council beyond that". he said.

 He urged the people of PKK to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and vote for the APC in the incoming general elections from top to bottom.

The All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate for Plateau State, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe solicited (PKK) support to bring him on board as well as other candidates for the various positions in the zone; who are contesting on the banner of the APC.

Goodwill messages came from the Executive Chairman of Kanam LGC, Hon Dayyabu Yusuf Garga, Prof ND Kanam, Nde John Gobak, Nde Joshua Waklek amongst other party leaders.

The Director General of the Gagdi Campaign Council, Hon Philip  Dasun, speaking on behalf of members pledged their unalloyed commitment to the success of the campaign that would return him for a second term.
