NJC Pension Department Verifies Officers And Staff In Jos


...PLATEAU HIGH COURT PENSIONERS WITH FEDERAL SHARE WIDELY INFORMED- CHIEF JUDGE.

The National Judicial Council (NJC) Pension Department arrived Jos for two-day verification excercise to all retired Judges,Judicial Officers and Staff of the Federal High Courts, Appeal Courts and the Plateau State High Court resident in Plateau State from Monday 20th November to Tuesday 21st November 2023 at the new Conference Hall of the Plateau State High Court Complex.

The verification excercise by the NJC Pension Department led by Nuhu Bello Dabai who represented Ahmed Gambo, the Executive Secretary of NJC,said the two-day excercise is out to screen pensioners ,capture their photographs and ensure prompt payment of their pension by the 20th day of every month.He clarified that it is only retired Judicial Officers and staff with Federal share resident in Plateau State that are legible to be screened.


In his remarks the Chief Judge of Plateau State, Hon Justice David Gwong Mann welcome the team from the NJC and urged them to be diligent in the performance of their excercise. The Chief Judge, ably represented by the Chief Registrar of the Plateau State High Court, Barr Andrawus Maikai said that the NJC were here to verify Pensioners with the Federal share.He continued that the Excercise is very important so that they can be getting their pension seamlessly.Andrawis Maikai said wide publicity and adverts were placed to inform all pensioners to come for the excercise by the NJC Pension Department.

In a brief interview with the NewsGate Magazine, PRTVC, Jat Hot News online and Reliable and Factual News online, the team lead of the NJC Pension Verification Excercise,Nuhu Bello Dabai, informed the media that the excercise is to verify judicial and non judicial staff to enhance prompt payment and welfare of pensioners on the payroll of NJC on the 20th of every month.


Dabai added that the Executive Secretary of the NJC, Ahmed Gambo in his magnanimity provided transport money for all screened pensioners to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy and the economic hardship in the land.

Dabai hinted that the excercise was very smooth and the turn out was very good.He however, promised that those who missed out can be captured online via the internet.He said those who are unable to meet them in Nasarawa and Benue States can catch them up in Jos- Plateau State on Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st November,2023.
On the challenges of not getting pensioners in rura areas who may not have heard the news on the radio, Dabai promised to use text messages or the officials of NJC Pensioners in each States of the Federation with letters informing them of future excercises.

Comrade Julius H Anlong, the Secretary of the Judicial Retired Staff Association of Nigeria (JURSSAN) Plateau State Chapter with Federal share thanked the Executive Secretary of NJC, Ahmed Gambo and Nuhu Bello Dabai, the team lead for the courteous way that the senior citizens were handled.He thanked the NJC for the stipend.

Early Judges screened by the NJC Pension Department included Justices Damulak,Naron,Sha,Longji,Farinkasa and others.
