St. Paul Academy Emerged Victorious in C Division Inter Schools Quiz Competition




The three weeks long C Division Inter Schools science quiz competition on Thursday, November 23rd, 2023, has come to an end leaving St. Paul's academy to emerged the first position of the competition over, Tamara's Fairview High school, Faith academy and Solace Model College respectively.


The opening and closing of the three weeks long inter schools quiz competition tagged; "C Division Inter Schools Science Quiz Competition 2023" was held at the youth chapel, Living Faith Church Jos, with the attendance of 18 participating schools of Jos North.


Delivering his speech at the closing of the ceremony, Plateau state Commissioner of Police ably represented by ACP Abubakar Haruna, Thanked the DPO of C Division for organizing the quiz competition and called on the students not to involved in cheating or exams malpractices and to focus on their studies always as sky will be their limit.


He said the role of the Nigerian Police is to protect lives and properties thereby, solicits Nigerians support to enable them of their effort in combating crimes and other social vices in the society.

The convener of the inter schools quiz competition and Divisional Police Officer (DPO), C Division, SP Larrycarr Augustus said the quiz competition has marked as a significant moment to us as a division to showcase our dedication, hard work and commitment to ensuring a robust, harmonious and better policing in our area of responsibility.


He said the competition which started three weeks ago, at Faith academy was aimed at strengthening the various schools within our Area of Responsibility (AOR), or raising the consciousness of our students academically and morally.


The DPO disuade the students from every form of social vices predominant in our society today adding that it was aimed at bringing the various religious bodies as one body in humanity and interesting, the entire people within C Division into a better policing architecture.


SP Augustus was full of gratitude to the commissioner of police and his management team for enabling them the opportunity to organized the schools quiz competition.

The quiz competition panel has Aminu Mustapha as chairman, Mr Nathaniel Mobolade, Secretary, Mr Unegbu Gerald Nonso, Time keeper and Israel Bala AK as the quiz master.


The event also featured  presentations of certificates to teachers and students respectively.

The competition saw 18 schools  participating and the schools that make it to the final stage of the competition were St. Paul academy as the 1st position, second went to Tamara Fairview High school while Faith academy became 3rd, Solace Model College makes it to fourth positions respectively.


Schools that smiles home with prizes won at the competition were St. Paul Academy with the cheque of N100,000 for emerging first position, while Tamara Fairview High School got N70,000 as the second runner up and Faith Academy went home with N50,000 as 3rd position prize respectively.

There was drama presentation at the competition to thrilled students and invited guests at the event.


Goodwill messages at the event came from Obinna Emmanuel, DPO A Division, Alh. Malami Abdullahi Salihu, NAPPS Jos north chairman amongst other notable dignitaries.
