PLSG is Committed to Empowering Etrepreneurs in the State to Unplug Their Full Potential – Danladi Gyang

In a bid to strengthen the growth of businesses in Plateau State, a one-day Stakeholders Engagement on entrepreneurship has been organized by the Office of the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Plateau State.

Speaking at the stakeholders entrepreneurship engagement meeting, Special Adviser to the governor on Entrepreneurship, Danladi Gyang said the meeting serverd as a veritable platform to pull knowledge, experience and expertise as means of creating solution and extend government services to all stakeholders especially at the grassroots.

He said he programme was organized with the sole aim of driving overall economic growth of the state.

He added the the mission is to foster a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in the state that will provide entrepreneurs with support resources and opportunities they need to succeed in today's competitive market.


The event took place on Friday March, 22, 2024, at the Patrick Hall of Crispan Hotel and Suites, along RayField road, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, with the theme “Redefining Entrepreneurship”.

In his keynote address, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs, Ephraim Usman, stressed the need for team work to ensure that all the under represented and marginalise entrepreneurs on the Plateau are on the economic scale of the state through various support and programme to develop their businesses.

On his part, Director General PLASMIDA, Bongkat Wuyep, in his keynote address maintained that efforts most be made towards achieving social impacts through empowering Plateau State entrepreneurs to boost long term productivity.

Also, addressing the stakeholders during the meeting, Chairman Plateau State Internal Revenue Service, Jim Wayas Pam, said for government to be able to pave the way for aspiring entrepreneurs to succeed, there's a need for citizens to pay their taxes.

The one day stakeholders entrepreneurship engagement had dignitaries from different Ministries and Department as well as representatives from both public and private sectors in the state.

The event also featured questions and answers session as well as tour of various displayed products and presentation of Plateau Business Agenda.

The Special Adviser on Entrepreneur office, was in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Plateau State Internal Revenue Service, and Plateau State Microfinance Development Agencies
