Gov. Mutfwang urged to Priorities AGPAPFN to Enhance Food Productivity.
Plateau state chairman, Association of the Grains Processors and Allied Produce Farmers of Nigeria (AGPAPFN), Naptali Tali, has called governor Mutfwang to priorities and support the programmes and policies of the association in her agenda of enhancing food productivity and processing farms produce to thrive on the plateau.
Naptali Tali stated this while flagging off its office and programme of assisting the registered farmers towards a successful 2024 farming season in Langtang North LGA.
State chairman of the association, Tali, said the association is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with national headquarters at Number 4, Oyo street, Garki Abuja, with the National annex office at Suit B. Trade Fair complex, Osogbo, Osun state.
He said the association's mandate is to encourage and strengthen real farmers to do more of farming activities in crop, animal fisheries and related in youth/women and active Nigerians as captured by Mr. President Renewed Hope agenda of the Federal Government on Agriculture.
Declaring the programme open today, the state chairman Nankap Tali, hinted that the products the registered farmers will received is the beginning of the numerous benefit to enjoy through the association.
He equally called on the farmers from the Southern Senatorial zone of the state to brace up and keep up the encouraging spirit of active farming practices.
The state AGPAPFN chairman commended the southern zone members of the association and most recently the Central zone of the state for not only keeping faith with the organization, but for canvassing for the intense registration of members in their various zone.
He added “I will like to use this as a yardstick to encourage the northern senatorial zone of plateau state to copy this gesture to ensuring that members from the zone enjoy packages the association have to give them. I also want to encourage registered members of the association to continue the campaign for the association”.
Tali pleaded with the member, Representing Langtang North and South, House of Representative, Hon Vincent Bulus, and the Transition Implementation Committe Chairman of Langtang North, Nanmwa Kumzhi to support this campaign of helping farmers in the zone towards a successful farming season of 2024.
