Gagdi Harps on Non Kinetic Approach to Solving Security Challenges



 Member representing Pankshin, Kanke, Kanam in the green chambers, Rt Hon. Adamu Yusuf Gagdi has advocated the use of diplomatic ways of handling security challenges in the nation, saying weapons alone cannot solve security issues.

The peoples representative who was a recipient of a peace and security award in Jos, awarded by First Samaritan Love Foundation, reiterated that poverty is the bedrock of insecurity in the nation held at Crispan Hotel Jos. 

Hon Gagdi said "In my own perspective, security is not about bombing Bako Haram, kidnappers and bandits, rather, security is taking care of the welfare of the citizens and their security"

He added that the constitution donated the power of making laws to the parliaments, and the constitution says we should make law for peace, order and good governance adding that Peace is the first thing the construction mention when it comes to the functions of the parliament.

The law maker aserts that Peace is the bedrock of any meaningful development in Nigeria, and he will support any gathering that brings about conversations on security

"As one of the trained, qualified and certified security expert in Nigeria and a representative of the people who are facing the problem of insecurity, what other gathering should I have attended other than the one that talks about security?
I belive all the people that gathered here today have a take home on security "

In a related development, Rt Hon Gagdi disclosed that his wife Hajiya Laila Gagdi has picked 33 women from his Constituency, 11 from each of the Logal Governments and trained them on different businesses.

Saying," She trained them for 3 months and did not leave them like that but has procured all the working tools and starter packs, ready to for distribution tomorrow".
