Bokkos LG Chair Hosts Delegation from Bokkos Advocacy Group (BAG)
The Executive Chairman of Bokkos Local Government Council, Hon. Amalau Samuel Amalau, today welcomed a delegation from the Bokkos Advocacy Group (BAG), a prominent youth advocacy organization within the council area. The delegation, led by Comrade Nafor Victor, conveyed congratulatory messages on behalf of Hon. Sylvester Walangko, the Bokkos constituency representative in the Plateau State House of Assembly, and the group.
During the meeting, Comrade Nafor Victor highlighted the group’s commitment to supporting local development initiatives and fostering strong partnerships with the council. He emphasized BAG's dedication to unity, peace, and community advancement. He also underscored the importance of incorporating daily prayers and instilling a sense of responsibility among the youth as a cornerstone for sustainable growth.
In his response, Hon. Amalau expressed deep appreciation for the delegation’s visit and reaffirmed his belief in the potential of Bokkos’ youth to drive positive change. He called on the youth to embrace their shared heritage and prepare for future challenges with unity and determination.
"The time is now for the youth of Bokkos and Plateau State to rise and safeguard the legacy of our ancestors while building a brighter future," Hon. Amalau stated.
He emphasized the importance of truth, love, and humility as foundational principles for peacebuilding and community harmony. Hon. Amalau commended the group for its initiatives and pledged his support for their upcoming activities, including the BAG Security Summit and the annual hike scheduled to take place in two weeks.
"As we work together, let us entrust our efforts to God Almighty for guidance and success," the Chairman concluded.
