Prof. Dakum Gifts Over 206 Bags of Rice to Widows as Christmas Packages




Prof. Patrick Sunday Dakum, Chief Executive Officer (COE) Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria, former Plateau State Governorship Candidate in the 2023 Governorship Election in plateau State has distributed not fewer than Two Hundred 206 bags of rice as he host widows in across plateau State to Christmas celebration .

The distribution of the items and hosting of the widows to party ahead Christmas celebration is to make them feel sense of belonging that are being remembered that they are not alone contrary to their assumption that the society neglected them the widows.

The hosting of the christmas party for over widows at his Jiblik country home. This annual event, which has been running for over 20 years, aims to provide support and succor to the widows, based on biblical doctrine.

The event was attended by widows from 10 hamlets in the Jiblik district of Pankshin Local Government Area.

Mrs. Nandak Philemon, coordinator of Jiblik Community Widows, praised Prof. Dakum’s kindness and generosity, describing him as a “wonderful father and a paradigm of a biblical husband” to the widows.

Prof. Dakum’s personal assistant, Mr. Jonathan Gukut, emphasized that the event was apolitical and focused on providing support to the widows. He also cautioned the beneficiaries against hasty sales of their farm produce and encouraged them to support each others.

The event featured food, drinks, and happinesses with attendees expressing gratitude for Prof. Dakum’s kindness.

Mrs. Lydia Jimmwan, leader of the widows, prayed for God to replenish Prof. Dakum’s resources and grant his wishes.

This act of kindness is a testament to Prof. Dakum’s commitment to supporting vulnerable members of the society, particularly during the holiday season.
