Bokkos LG Chair Inaugurates JAMB Registration Committee

In a bid to ensure a smooth and transparent JAMB registration exercise, the Executive Chairman of Bokkos Local Government Council, Hon. Amalau Samuel Amalau, has announced the formation of a JAMB Registration Committee to oversee the ongoing process at the Bokkos Local Government Council Secretariat.

Hon. Amalau, alongside his Deputy, Hon. Wallangko Mahwel Joshep, emphasized the council’s commitment to educational development and fair access to opportunities for Indigenous students. The initiative is aimed at preventing irregularities, ensuring compliance with JAMB regulations, and fostering a credible registration process.

The committee has been tasked with:
* Reviewing and verifying JAMB-related documents, including registration forms and result slips.
* Ensuring the accuracy of candidates' details, such as names, dates of birth, and examination numbers.
* Confirming compliance with JAMB guidelines for all registered candidates.
* Submitting a final report to the Executive Chairman, highlighting any discrepancies or irregularities encountered.

Speaking on the importance of the initiative, Hon. Amalau reaffirmed that the primary objective of the committee is to uphold transparency and fairness in the admission process. By implementing a structured verification system, the council aims to eliminate fraud and irregularities in JAMB registration, ensuring that deserving candidates have equal access to educational opportunities.

The committee will be active throughout the registration period and is expected to submit its final report to the Executive Chairman within the designated timeframe.

This initiative marks another significant step in the Amalau-led administration’s commitment to prioritizing education and fostering youth empowerment in the Bokkos Local Government Area.
