Bokkos Local Government Council Dissolves Revenue Task Force

By Marawes Jonathan

The Executive Chairman of Bokkos Local Government Council, Hon. Amalau Samuel Amalau, has officially dissolved the Revenue Task Force as part of ongoing reforms to enhance revenue collection and financial management within the local government area.

In a statement released by the council, Hon. Amalau emphasized that the decision was taken to improve efficiency and transparency in revenue collection. The task force, which was established by a previous resolution, is now formally disbanded, and all members are required to submit a final report to the council.

Effective immediately, all duties and responsibilities of the task force members are terminated, and a new revenue strategy will be announced in due course.

The council reassures residents that these measures are aimed at streamlining revenue processes, preventing irregularities, and ensuring accountability in the management of local government funds.

A revised framework for revenue collection will be communicated soon.
