Security: Hon Dagul, Community Leaders Meet with Anglo Jos Divisional Police Officer to Strengthen Ties


In a bid to foster a stronger relationship between the community and the police, Councillor representing Zawan B Ward of Jos South Local Government Area, Hon Alex Isaac Dagul and elders of the community paid a courtesy visit to the Anglo Jos Divisional Police Officer. (DPO) 

The successful visit aimed to discuss security concerns, promote community policing, and explore ways to improve safety in the area. 

The Divisional Police Officer Inalegwu Okoh, warmly received the Councillor and his entourage, expressing appreciation for their efforts in promoting community policing.

During the meeting, the Honourable Councillor and elders commended the Divisional Police Officer for maintaining law and order in the community. 

They also discussed pressing security issues, including crime prevention, public safety, and community policing.

The Divisional Police Officer assured the community leaders that he would address their concerns and ensure the community's safety.

The DPO However,  highlighted a significant challenges faced by his division, that is the lack of moving patrol vehicles, which hinders the police's ability to conduct effective patrols.

In light of this, the Divisional Police Officer requested assistance from the local government chairman. 

The Honourable Councillor promised to take the matter to the council Chairman, ensuring the division receives the necessary support they need from the council.

This courtesy visit marks a positive step towards building a stronger relationship between the community and the police. 

With the community leaders committed to working with the police, a safer and more secure future for the community is on the horizon.
