Prof. Dakum Congratulates "People's Champion " On Metropolitan Draught Win
Professor Patrick Sunday Dakum, a renowned public health physician and CEO of the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria, has extended his warmest congratulations to Hon. Kennechukwu Nnamani, aka the People's Champion, on his impressive win at the Metropolitan Draught competition in Jos, Plateau State capital.¹ The competition, which took place at Bukuru Low Cost Junction in Jos South LGA, featured 24 skilled participants from various draught playing locations in Jos South and Jos North. Nnamani emerged victorious on April 1, 2025, capping off a thrilling tournament that began on March 30, 2025. According to Shabul Mazadu, Media Consultant to Professor Dakum, the CEO was delighted to learn that the Bukuru Low Cost Draught Club organized the tournament in honor of Mazadu's award as Plateau Best Publisher of the Year 2024. Dakum even supplied drinks for the event, showcasing his support for the community. Dakum, who also served as the Labour Party governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections, acknowledged the numerous health benefits of draught, including stress relief, socialization, and mental capacity building.² He expressed interest in organizing an inter-local government draughts competition soon, further demonstrating his commitment to promoting community engagement and healthy activities. In a heartfelt message, Dakum thanked the competition organizers, stating that the honor bestowed upon his media consultant was an honor to him as well.
