The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu has warned party members not to blame him should the party failed to win many states in the coming 2023 general elections. The former senator said this on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, while speaking with journalists after inaugurating an eight-member Abia Reconciliation Committee. The Federal Government has confirmed that it has purchased vehicles worth N1.4 billion to help Niger tackle insecurity. The Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed gave the confirmation on Wednesday, explaining that providing intervention to the neighboring Niger Republic is not new and it is the prerogative of President Muhammadu Buhari who approved the purchase. Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Plateau state stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) have reiterated their call for the disqualification of the governorship flagbearer in the state Dr Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe. The group under the aeges of Progressives Foundation Movement (PFM) maintained that the decision by the Sen Abdullahi Adamu led national working committee (NWC) to field Goshwe was in clear breach of the 1999 constitution and the Electoral Amendment Act 2022. Gunmen suspected to be bandits have stormed a Catholic church, Gure parish, in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna state and kidnapped two priest The abduction was confirmed in a statement issued on Friday night, July 15, 2022, by Emmanuel Okolo, chancellor of the Kafanchan Catholic Diocese.
