TAROK YOUTHS CALL ON NANMWA GODWIN KUMZHI TO RECONTEST FOR CHAIRMAN OF LANGTANG NORTH.

Plateau state Governor Visits Chinese Embassy, Seeks Infrastructural Intervention

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, on Thursday held a productive meeting with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Abuja. The discussion focused on improving road infrastructure, health, education, and the agricultural sectors in the state. Governor Mutfwang, who was received by the Minister Counsellor, Zhang Yi, highlighted the presence of Chinese construction companies in Plateau State and emphasized that the government has created a conducive environment for their business operations. The Governor stated that his visit to the Embassy was aimed at familiarizing himself and exploring potential partnerships and financial support for road infrastructure projects, as well as the training of Plateau youths in ICT. PLHA Helds 4-Day Induction Workshop For new Members

The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Dewan K. Gabriel led the newly sworn-in members of the 10th assembly for an induction workshop alongside Management Staff of the State Assembly in Abuja, Nigeria. The induction workshop was organised to further strengthen the new lawmakers as they take up legislative duties of the 10th Assembly. The workshop was focused on the theme: "Implications of Financial Crimes and Effective Budget Preparation, Financial Reporting, inline with International Accounting Standard (IPSAS) and it's Relationship with Legislation". Rt. Hon. Dewan acknowledged the importance and implications of the induction on the new members which served as an avenue to accord them the opportunity for both the old and new lawmakers to share ideas and be more equipped for the legislative business ahead.

Plateau LG Election: PLASIEC Engages Stakeholders at Local Government Level Towards Conduct of Forthcoming Election

The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission has begun its NEEDS Assessment tour of the Seventeen Local Government Areas preparatory to the forthcoming Local Government Elections in the State. The visit is to ascertain the level of preparedness by the Commission in conducting a free transparent and credible local government polls. Chairman of the Commission Plangji Cishak who led members to Headquaters of the various Local Governments stressed on the importance of maintaining a transparent and credible PLASIEC which will serve as a reference point to Plateau people and beyond. Cishak particularly thanked Governor Caleb Mutfwang for carefully selecting members of the Commission and trusting them with the mandate to deliver in line with global best practices. Plateau, Bayelsa sign agreement to improve solar, gas usage

 Plateau and Bayelsa state governments have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate in power, renewable energy, and agricultural products sectors. According to a statement on Monday, the MoU was signed at the Foreign Investment Network (FIN) annual international business roundtable and Forbes Best of Africa Award ceremony. Douye Diri, Bayelsa state governor, and Caleb Muftwang, his Plateau counterpart, were said to have signed the deal at the event, (held on June 28 in Lisbon, Portugal) to enhance positive growth in their respective states.
