Another round of a Free Comprehensive Medical and Surgical Services organized by the Qua'an-Pan Local Government Council under the leadership of Hon Ernest Abner Da'a for the people of the locality and environs is to commence on Tuesday January 31 to February 5, 2023 in 5 centers across of the LGA. The State Working Committee, SWC of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State has ratified the expulsion of Ishaya Itse from the APC. Mattew Akawu, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 elections in Pengana State Constituency is dead. Akawu who was billed to fly the party’s flag in the 2023 State Assembly election was said to have attended a new year event in the constituency on Wednesday, January 4, 2022. A family source confirming the politician’s death said; “He then said he wasn’t feeling fine on his return home, his situation deteriorated and he was taken to the hospital. “Unfortunately, he died in the early hours of Friday”, the source confirmed. Also speaking, the Publicity Secretary of PDP in Plateau state, John Akans, confirmed the demise of the candidate. A socio-cultural group, known as Tangale Community Overseas (TCO) has called on Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state to set up a committee to investigate the unprovoked attacks on Tangale communities in recent weeks, and stop claiming reprisal, as Tangale people have no history of carrying out attack on any community. General Secretary of the group, Lamela Umaru Lakorok, made the call when TCO visited the two affected communities, Amtawalam and Pobawure, to commiserate with them over the attacks, and the group donated the sum of one Million Naira to victims of the attacks to aid their plights.
