  The Jos Metropolitan Draft Club was on Sunday, 30th March, 2025, hosted a draft tournament in honor of Shabul Mazadu, the Publisher of The Beacon Newspaper who was awarded the Best Publisher of the Year 2024. The tournament brought together top players from across the state to compete for the coveted title of Metropolitan Best Player. According to Pam Ayuba Bitrus, the current Plateau State draft champion, said the game of draft is not just a recreational activity, but also a platform for intellectual and social interaction.
